Lucia Gardossi is Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of Trieste, Department of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences (Italy). She is habilitated as a Full Professor.
She holds a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry.
Associate Researcher at MIT, USA (1989-1991).
Co-founder of the spin-off SPRIN SpA (2007).
EU experience: coordinator of the FP7 project IRENE “In silico Rational Engineering of Novel Enzymes” (2009-2012). Member of the SC2 Advisory Group of the European Commission for Horizon 2020 (2013-2018).
She is currently a member of the board of the Italian Cluster on Green Chemistry – SPRING.
She is author of about 100 publications, 4 patents on biocatalysis in non-conventional media, bio-based chemistry, bioeconomy.
